Camden Stewart performs inside The Composer’s Cabin at St. Pancras International
A full‑circle moment as Camden Stewart returns to St. Pancras International for a special piano performance set inside The Composer’s Cabin
St. Pancras International welcomed a reflective musical moment as British composer, pianist and operatic tenor Camden Stewart delivered an intimate performance inside The Composer’s Cabin. Camden, who has become a familiar presence on the station’s public pianos over the years, performed a selection of original works on the Steinway & Sons Spirio | r grand piano, filling the space with his distinctive contemporary classical sound.
The performance was set inside a peatland‑inspired installation, originally created for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 by designer Martha Krempel in collaboration with Malvern Garden Buildings. Surrounded by planting inspired by bog and peatland ecosystems, the wood‑clad structure offers a quiet, immersive setting that contrasts with the movement of the station concourse. Camden performed four original compositions from his album Transcendence including Lost, Water, Love and Transcendence, creating a memorable moment for visitors who stopped to listen.
Camden’s connection with St. Pancras International goes back many years. Before becoming known for his performances on the station’s public pianos, he often visited the concourse as a child to practise for piano examinations, using the space as an open and welcoming environment to develop his craft. These early sessions introduced his music to passing travellers and later reached wider audiences online. Being invited to perform inside The Composer’s Cabin offered a new setting and built on his long‑standing relationship with St. Pancras.
Following the release of Transcendence, Camden continues to grow his presence across London’s cultural venues. His upcoming performances include a sold‑out concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 16 July 2026 and an intimate appearance at Leighton House on 12 September 2026, where he will present further original works. More about Camden’s music and upcoming performances can be found on his official website and via his Instagram.
