Jessie J stuns commuters with intimate piano performance at St. Pancras International
St. Pancras International welcomed an unforgettable moment today as BRIT Award–winning artist Jessie J surprised lunchtime travellers with an emotional performance on the station’s iconic public piano. Stopping by the Arcade to celebrate the release of her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time, Jessie delivered a set that blended her new material with much-loved fan favourites, creating a warm and spontaneous atmosphere that filled the concourse.
Recorded in Los Angeles over the past five years, ‘Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time’ is Jessie J’s first album in nearly eight years – an emotional and unfiltered body of work. Her stripped-back piano set offered a rare chance for fans and commuters to hear the raw, heartfelt spirit of her new record up close.
Reflecting on the performance, Jessie J said:
“Today was the first time I’ve shared some of these songs with the world, and it felt incredibly personal. The St. Pancras piano is such an intimate space – no bells or whistles, just music and people. It was the right place to let these raw, emotional songs breathe for the first time, and to feel that connection in real time with everyone who stopped to listen.”
Peter Martin-Jones, Head of Marketing at London St. Pancras Highspeed, added:
“Our pianos have hosted countless incredible moments and today was another reminder that St. Pancras International is more than a travel hub — it’s a destination for culture and music. Jessie’s phenomenal performance added a new chapter to our legacy. You never know who you might see passing through the station.”
Her visit adds to the station’s rich musical legacy, following surprise appearances from global stars including Elton John, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Jeff Goldblum and, most recently, The Darkness, all of whom have helped make the St. Pancras pianos a much-loved cultural landmark.
