A 9m tall bronze statue of a couple's embrace by the world renowned sculptor Paul Day. Known commonly as 'The Lovers statue' at St. Pancras, it takes pride of place on our Grand Terrace, and is often the first thing you see when you step off the Eurostar.
The brief for the commission from London & Continental Railways, the company responsible for the restoration of St. Pancras, stated that the sculpture should be romantic, democratic and as iconic as the Statue of Liberty in New York.
H.M Queen Elizabeth II inaugurated the sculpture when reopening the station in 2007.
Due to an incident on the Midland Main Line on Friday 19th June, EMR and Thameslink trains out of St. Pancras International may be cancelled or delayed. For further information and travel advice, please visit your respective train operator website.
