2019 Track Record Poetry Event

Monday 24th June, 10 local school children from Argyle Primary and Richard Cobden Primary delighted St Pancras International’s passers-by with live poetry readings performed as part of a brand-new poetry initiative named Track Record.

In anticipation of the 13th Betjeman Poetry Prize, St Pancras International have teamed up with the poetry organisation to start Track Record; a programme which aims to give students in local schools the chance to take part in a series of poetry workshops to capture their imagination and creativity.

London-based poet and previous poet in residence at the Roald Dahl Museum, Paul Lyalls, facilitated the new programme in two local schools - Argyle Primary and Richard Cobden Primary – making frequent visits to encourage and enrich their writing.

After months of hard work, the Track Record students proudly read their work aloud in the station, where some of the poems will be displayed throughout the iconic destination from August to early October.
